MyBookShelf privacy policy

MyBookShelf is designed to work without an account, advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics. Your reading library stays on your device.

Data collection

Beo AI does not collect, sell, or use for tracking your books, reading status, ratings, notes, device identifiers, contact information, location, diagnostics, or usage data. When you ask the app to look up a book, its ISBN and ordinary network request information are sent directly to Open Library; Beo AI does not receive or store that request.

Storage and retention

Your books, reading status, ratings, notes, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. MyBookShelf does not require an account and does not upload your library to a Beo AI server. Local data remains until you delete books in the app or remove the app from the device.

Third-party services

The app uses Apple system services for camera access and StoreKit purchases, and the Open Library service operated by the Internet Archive for optional ISBN metadata and book-cover lookups. Apple may process purchase and entitlement information under Apple’s privacy policy. Open Library may process ordinary network request information under the Internet Archive’s privacy policy. Beo AI receives no payment-card details.

Your choices and deletion

The app has no Beo AI account to delete. You can delete individual books in the app, and removing the app deletes its local app data subject to Apple’s device and backup behaviour. For a privacy question or a support email you previously sent, contact hello@beo-ai.com.
